Fashion Troves

New category! It's called fashion troves and I will show you new stuff that I bought but also stuff from local shops. I haven't had time yet to take photographs in shops but I got two new garments today. Firstly a white basic t-shirt by H&M Trend. The fabric is a very light-weight cotton, which makes it great for summer if you still wanna layer things up in your outfit. I also love the fact that it has a slightly deeper neck than normal tees. The fabric seems to be similar (almost as good) to my striped Acne tee, which also has a great feel to it. Secondly a vintage silk scarf by Lanvin. I got it very cheap from Ricardo, a swiss online auction platform similar to Ebay.

Love the satin contrast trim on the waist of the trousers and on the sides down the leg and when I saw them on sale, I just couldn't resist ordering it. Another all dark oufit, which I'm normally not too fond of on a sunny day. Next oufit will be all spring again (not that I already know what oufit I'm gonna post next though). Sorry for the lack of pictures, but my tripod broke today, so I couldn't really take more pictures. Maybe I'll try to use some chair or something in the future, until my tripod's fixed. It's the same sweater as on this look on Lookbook.nu. I'm desperately in need of some new shoes. I'm looking for some nice brown oxfords and brown loafers like those from Acne.

Behold My Closet

I didn't want to have two bits and bobs entries in a row and since I didn't really know what to write about, I decided to show you my closet. Pretty much every garment is in my closet except the coats, which are somewhere else. I'm thinking about starting a new category called fashion troves, where I'm showing you photos of interesting things (mainly clothes) I see everyday in the city in different shops.

It was raining outside, so I had to take my pictures inside. Unfortunately, there isn't really enough space to take some nice photographs, but I guess those aren't too bad. This outfit is dedicated to Oat Montien, because he made this great artwork of me. And yesterday I received a very cool drawing by Anna Protsenko, that I now added to my header image. Thank you both so much, I'm flattered! And I posted this outfit on Lookbook.nu too.

Streetstyle: Kevin #2

I met Kevin again and he agreed another time to get his picture taken. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places, but I find it really hard to find appealing persons to photograph in Zurich. Anyway, Kevin might make some more appearances in the future on this blog, since I know now where he's working on a specific day, haha.

Inspiration: Lanvin Fall 2009 Men

I still can't get over Lanvin's men collection for fall 2009. I love the muted colours, the bow ties made out of silk scarves and the layering of the clothes. Needless to say that it pretty much nails my taste in fashion. Silk scarves and shirts already are on my "to-buy list" for next season. When the time arrives for colder days and I'm composing my outfits, I will definitely have this collection in the back of my head. Haha, crazy me already talking about next season, although spring just arrived.

I rolled the sleeves of the t-shirt a bit up, because I didn't like the vertical stripes at the end of it (like at the bottom). I also rolled the linen trousers all up once to give it a crinkled look. I'm wearing this outfit on the photos of my previous entry.

Mini Blogger Meet

Once again, I spent the my afternoon today with the girls of Styleseeking Zurich, but this time Anda joined us as well for lunch. I probably had my best club sandwich ever today. Right in Zurich. I should have photographed it – maybe next time. Unfortunately Anda didn't want to be photographed at all, so there's no picture of her in the following ones of today.
