Turned Out

Do you know the streetstyle blog Turnedout.tv? I can't believe I have only heard about it recently and after one peek I couldn't stop clicking next page. Maya Villiger (apparently grown up in Switzerland and now based in New York) captures people who inspires her and puts collages together. Her more recent streetstyle photos though are not the typical ones you see on other websites. She photographs with film and the photos look like something you would find in Juergen Teller's Go-Sees. It is actually how I intended to take my streetstyle photographs after I couldn't be bothered anymore to carry around my heavy DSLR but unfortunately I never made my plan reality.     i love that they're not quite perfect. they aren't totally posed and edited to flawlessness. it really is great.

    I liked this photos, they are very unusual and simple at the same time, sometimes the essence of a good style is just to be ourselves! Sometimes i get angry when i see just perfect & planned pictures in the fashion blogs, i'm tired of seeing just magazine pictures, Thank You Pascal for this post!

    so great, thanks for sharing with us! Somehow all the photos look like they're from the '90s and some from the '70s and that I think is due to the photographer more than to the fact that they're taken on film! Such great perspective on street style photography!
