Bits And Bobs #66

Shirt by American Apparel, Jacket by Barbour, Shoes by Nike, Trousers by Topman, Glasses by Moscot

I wanted the classic Barbour jacket called Bedale for a while and I finally made the purchase as I was in need for a nice all-around jacket, that can be worn during cold and windy autumn days (and it actually was while I took these pictures). Another premiere on this blog are my Nike sneakers, which I have had for a couple of months now. I love to wear sneakers these days, because they're just so comfy after wearing exclusively leather shoes for a long time.

  7. Regarding my hairdo...it was obviously winding straight into my face!

Anyway, I really like new balance too but I prefer Nike somehow. They're not a limited edition at all and called Nike Vengeance. Nike has been releasing some great models so far...

  10. Hi Pascal! Can you please post the settings, lens and the camera you used for this shot. I recently just noticed your shift in aesthetic from the very surreal to something refined. (Apologies I haven't found the time to give words to this one.)

  13. The Barbour jacket suits you well. Bought the Antique Heritage Bedale (slightly different, a shiny dark green) a few month ago and I love it. They are really great for this time of the year.

I really like your blog. Keep up the great work :)

  28. are these nike vengeance the normal or the vintage model? in these pictures they have no yellow fading on the soles and the red is also faded..i looked around in the web and the normal vengeance somehow always had a more strong red!

    1. vintage model...the yellow fading kinda disappeared after a while (or was replaced with dirt from the streets)

  29. thanks, watched several pages and it is indeed the vintage model. i normally wear new balance but this nike model with the fading red somehow got my attention. hopefully the 3 new models at endclothing are going to be somehow simple and not so colorful :)

  30. Hey, I'm looking for some sizing advice and am desperate here. I am about 5'10.5" and about 135-140 lbs, and am looking to purchase a Bedale. I want to order it online. The problem is, I live in Japan and the only type of Bedale's I can find in store here are the SL (i.e. slim fit) versions, and I am planning on ordering the olive, non-SL version online. I should say that the SL 36 fit me very well, sleeve length, jacket length, and everything else. Does anyone know if the only difference between the regular and SL is the chest/waist? Or is it also jacket length/sleeve length?

Basically I am torn between a 34 and 36. Since there is a significant import tax when ordering online from Japan, I would like to get it right the first time. Does anyone with a similar build have a bedale that could give me advice? I would appreciate any input or advice, such as your jacket size, height and weight.

    1. Sorry Sean I can't answer your questions directly but I know that the ordinary Bedale has a chest tolerance of 10 inches, so one with 32 on the tag measures 42 inches. If you took a jacket that fitted you well at the moment and measured it you could work out what size Barbour you need.
