Alexander McQueen F/W 2011 Ad Campaign

I am not really sure whether I like this ad campaign or not. But I think I somehow do. What about you? It surely is very different from other ad campaign out there and it suits the mood of the designs and clothes really well. That's why I decided to post these on my blog.

  2. I think it has a surreal & magical feel to it which is what I feel the brand Alexander McQueen is all about. I like it.

  4. I think of Ingemar Bergman when I see this shots! And in my opinion, I quite like it. It's much better than the boring Gucci-shit we see in magazines these days.

  5. I like them but there's something I don't like about the way they're edited.

  6. I'm actually crazy about it. However it doesn't remind much of McQueen. As a few above me just said. But in themselves they're really nice! Very artistic, & at a first glance I can't help myself but smiling.

  7. I suppose the 'savage' surrealist aspect of it fits McQueen.
I personally ain't crazy for it; feels disconnected.

  11. I like the first image especially .. it has something very semana santa (holy week) about it .. the light behind, the posture, and the black spots. They look like the flower petals (i like the fact they are black) which are generally thrown from balconies on the virgin ..

  12. It looks more a videogame campaign than a fashion campaign... But I like.

  16. I agree with Julian above. I'd like to add: those limbs are all over the place. (who's the model? mmh)
They definitely stand out from an other campaigns, but wouldn't convince me to invest unless I already knew and loved. A bit too Gaga for my gran.

  21. well. I think the brand is starting to reach the youth by changing their design of the ad campaign. It's totally different from the past McQueen's ads that looked more like gloomy and dark. Have you ever seen their website? or perhaps their 2nd label M-C-Q tumblr page? It has the same concept of ad: Animated Gif. And it's totally cool ;)
