Wish List #4

I have been pretty obsessed with shoes and socks lately, which lead to several new purchases and also a lot of internet researching about different brands, materials and manufacturers (mainly UK-based ones). Sanders, Mark McNairy and Our Legacy shoes are all made in the same factory in the UK. Alden and Crockett & Jones might produce some very fine shoes but they just don't suit me yet. Those are two facts I have learned in the past week. Socks shouldn't be neglected and add a nice finishing touch especially if you roll up your trousers. While browsing many online shops over and over again I came across a lot of nice pairs that would make a fine addition to any wardrobe and I put my favourite ones together above. My next pair of shoes for spring will definitely be from Tricker's (these are perfect!!).

I personally enjoy building colors with knee high patterned socks and boots; winter love.

  5. Not quite 900€ and don't worry, there are some even more expensive brands. But shoes like this can be kept your whole life with good care (due to the extremly high build quality and great leather) whereas some women's shoes/heels hardly justify their price solely based on the material and construction. The cordovan Tricker's I linked at the very end combine the best leather possible with the impeccabled good year-welt construction of Tricker's and that's something you just don't get with lower priced shoes. There are only two leather tanneries in the world left that still produce genuine cordovan shell. That fact plus the premium quality over calf leather adds to the higher price. Unfortunately, such shoes are still out of my price range...
